El Hadji Malick Ndiaye: Art historian and curator, Université Cheikh Anta Diop de Dakar

El Hadji Malick Ndiaye is an art historian based at Université Cheikh Anta Diop de Dakar, Senegal. He holds a PhD in Art History (University of Rennes II. France) and is a former postdoc of the Center for Research in Arts and Language (EHESS / CNRS, Paris). He is currently also a curator at the Theodore Monod Museum of African art and General secretary of ICOM/Senegal. He is a graduate from the National Institute of Heritage (Paris) and is a former scholar of the National Institute of Art History (Paris). He is a member of the Dakar Biennial Committee. He teaches Art history and Cultural Heritage. M. Ndiaye is art theorist, specialist of postcolonial studies and African cultural heritage. He has directed the book Reinventing museums (Africultures, N°70, 2007) and various scientific activities on these themes. He collaborates with magazines and is involved in several international meetings.
